Rock Climbing
Climbing activities and lessons at the Roc d’Enfer site.
Key Information about climbing :
The introductory and the training sessions for climbing take place at the Roc d’Enfer granite rock site by the river Gartempe, in the climbing hall, and on the pine trees (24m high).
These sessions are :
- open to adults and children over 8 (minimum age of 4 for sessions in the indoor facility, and 6 years for climbing club sessions) ;
- lead by qualified CPA Lathus instructors ;
- open to people with hearing, visual or learning disabilities.

Practical details
- This activity can be organised as a minimum half-day session supervised by a qualified instructor.
- Individual rates for half-day sessions : 20 € for over 16s, 15 euros € for under 16s - Group rates available for 8 or more people.
- Equipment provided : CPA Lathus provides the helmet and safety equipment.
- Our climbing sites :
- Roc d’Enfer – top-rope climbing / leading ; 40 climbs for different levels (topos available to consult at CPA Lathus) ; via corda climbing route ; abseiling ; zip wire.
- Climbing hall : a 160 m2 climbing wall for all levels, a wooden climbing frame.
Learning aims :
to be able to manage a number of unusual physical movements on vertical surfaces ;
to gain confidence and a sense of responsibility ;
to be accountable for your personal safety and the safety of the group ;
to explore the surrounding environment.

Avaibility
Sessions are open to individuals (minimum of 4 per session) from 18 April to 31 October during the short term breaks (zone A) and the summer holidays.
