Circus Arts

A fun activity with plenty of variety, helping people to learn about themselves and about others.

Circus arts are an activity that triggers all the emotions, involving physical feats and artistic expression, where everyone is encouraged to use and develop their abilities to the maximum.

Our qualified CPA Lathus instructors are ready to meet you on the le Peu Farm, where we have rooms equipped with circus equipment to suit all ages and abilities.

Our programme includes the seven main disciplines of circus arts :

  • Balancing on objects (rolling ball, rolla bola, tightrope, cord, stilts, learning bicycles, unicycle, clown bike) ;
  • Juggling (balls, rings, scarves, clubs, bouncing balls, spinning plates, astrojax, devil sticks, diabolo, bolas, cigar boxes) ;
  • Aerial acrobatics (trapeze and silks) ;
  • Clowning (traditional arts, comic imitation, make up) ;
  • Floor acrobatics (pyramids and balances, skipping ropes, Chinese poles) ;
  • Magic (stage magic, close-up magic tricks) ;
  • Working with horses (ponies, voltige) ;

For more details please read our Circus Arts project pamphlet (available in French here).

CPA Lathus has received accreditation for its « amateurs » programme from the French Federation of Circus Schools (FFEC).
