Trail

You can go trail running through the woodlands and pastures of the Gartempe Valley and on the many trails in the Le Peu valley. All of the circuits leave from the car park behind the HQE building (see the site map below).

Key Information :

  • suitable for all types of runners, whether experienced trail runners or complete beginners,
  • activity is available without supervision.

For trail running enthusiasts or athletes who wish to discover this sport, come and take part in our Eco-trail event on Saturday 5 June, 2021, at CPA Lathus. There will be circuits suitable for adults and children. Click here here

CPA Lathus is located in an area of natural countryside and woodland (bocage) : a vast, unspoilt adventure park, maintained for trail running. Runners can choose from a number of different-levelled circuits according to their level of training and personal goals. (4 circuits from 5km to 13km).

The following circuits are available :

  • Circuit 1 (green)

    Distance : 5 km                  Ascent/Descent : 53 m             Level : easy

    Trail running through the woodlands and farmlands with some sloping terrain but very little technical difficulty.

  • Circuit 2 (blue)

    Distance : 7,8 km              Ascent/descent: 105 m           Level : medium

    A hilly trail, starting in the woodlands and farmlands then going through the Le Peu valley where there will be some technical challenges.

  • Circuit 3 (orange)

    Distance : 10,3km            Ascent/descent : 142m           Level : hard

    Suitable for experienced trail runners, passing through woodlands and farmlands and then via the Le Peu valley, using mainly single-tracks.

  • Circuit 4 (red)

    Distance : 12,7km            Ascent/descent : 191m           Level : hard

    Very challenging trail, both physically and technically, taking you through the countryside of the Gartempe Valley and onto the single-track routes in the Le Peu valley.
